Brent Disabilities Forum, Sept 6th, Roundwood Club

From Brent Council

Residents interested in improving the experiences of people with disabilities and mental health needs in Brent are invited to an event on Wednesday 6 September.

The event is being hosted by Brent's Disability Forum and will be the first of many as the forum aims to grow and attract new members. The purpose of the forum is to exchange views and learn from other people in order to improve experiences for people with disabilities and mental health needs in Brent.

The event will take place from 6.30-8.30pm at *The Roundwood Club in Willesden, and the topic of discussion will be transportation and accessibility. Representatives from the council and the Greater London Authority (GLA) will both be in attendance.

Cllr Neil Nerva, Chair of the Disability Forum, said:
The purpose of the Disability Forum is to ensure that our residents and visitors to the borough with disabilities and mental health needs are getting the best services.

This meeting will focus on transportation and accessibility which is key to our residents being able to live happy, independent lives.

I would encourage all residents who are passionate about this issue to join us at the event. Your views and experiences are very valuable to us all so please come along and have your say on this important issue.
Light refreshments will be available and attendance is free. There will also be a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter present on the night. If you would like to attend, please contact James Curtis at james.curtis@brent.gov.uk.

*Due to high demand, this event has moved from Willesden Library to the Roundwood Club.
