  1. These events - especially in 3 days in a row do make things difficult for local residents and businesses.

When Tottenham obtained temporary permission to hold their games at Wembley while their new Stadium was built Brent Council held public consultation meetings to reassure residents. Promise was made to modernise the Electronic signage and provide more to warn residents and visitors of a pending event - the promise was never kept and the signage continues to be inadequate.

More importantly I recall that when a resident complained about enforcement starting as early as 8a.m. for an event starting at 8p.m. the Leader of the Council responded by saying that "enforcement does not start until 3 hours before the start of the event".

When I challenged the Council on this on behalf of a local resident who received a ticket first thing in the morning for an event starting at 4p.m. I was told that the undertaking about when enforcement would start was never made.

I was not the only one who attended the consultation meeting and not the only one who heard the "3 hour rule mentioned". If any one else was at that meeting and can confirm what they heard the Leader of Brent Council say I would welcome their views. Thanks
    Paul

  2. Wembley has great transport links and all the car parks you can still park in on event days. Wembley has permit parking on most roads so not sure how the above comment is relevant. Or is it someone who just likes to have a dog a Brent council all the time ?
