I raised this point when Quintain applied for permission to replace the Pedway with steps, but the potential danger was ignored.

I hope that we are not proved correct, in the way that those who queried the cladding on Grenfell Tower were!Philip Granthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08216646114377430489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129943063330427887.post-79145051951608690872020-07-20T12:05:03.720+01:002020-07-20T12:05:03.720+01:00No mention of the safety aspect if the Stadium nee...No mention of the safety aspect if the Stadium needed an emergency evacuation. The existing pedway would allow a safer and faster exit. Historic events show fatal crushing when large numbers try to escape at speed. claremountieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11392927701817762687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129943063330427887.post-64450441761635122852020-07-19T09:55:08.161+01:002020-07-19T09:55:08.161+01:00It does not look kids friendly or handicap people....It does not look kids friendly or handicap people. It is part of the pedestrian desire line between Wembley Park station and the LDO/Wembley Stadium station beyond, as should have been obvious to the masterplanners from the start. What has happened since then to retain it as public space has little to do with the 'setting' of the Civic Centre and everything to do with stopping a major pedestrian thoroughfare being blocked.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
