Leader of Brent Council under investigation

The Brent and Kilburn Times LINK is reporting that a allegation against Cllr Ann John, leader of Brent Council is being investigated by council officers. The allegation is that she told  Labour councillors on the Planning Committee, which is supposed to be independent and where councillors should make up their own minds, to vote against a 2010 application to turn the old Union Hall,  Union Road, Wembley into a Hindu place of worship.

The BKT saysthe complaint is said to have been made by one of her own party colleagues.Ann John told the paper that the allegations were a load of rubbish and she had nothing to hide.

  1. WHAT ARE THE POTENTIAL IMPLICATIONS?!

CAN SHE BE REPORTED TO SECRETARY OF STATE FOR LOCAL GVT?

  2. I doubt that case will go on she will be cleared benefit of doubt, or lack of evidence. The matter must be investigated by an Independent body not Council SC.

  4. ann john knows the truth because like everyone else she has a conscience and therefore if the allegations are true then she is in breach of contract and has shown contempt for The Brent Planning Code of Practice and that cannot and should not be tolerated because just as failure to observe the highway code often results in serious accidents, likewise failing to observe The Brent Planning Code of Practice results in people being treated unfairly and unjustly and for a democratically elected leader to be accused of encouraging councillors to break the law is not just clearly wrong but is shameful.
and although it is so far an accusation, it wouldn't surprise me if it is true...afterall mp's don't exactly have a reputation for being honest and integrity keepers.
if you think of politics as a body that body is riddled with corruption from top to bottom...so if it turns out ann john is guilty we should not be surprised because she is part of the body that is infected with corruption.
