Parmijit Dhanda and Sabina Khan were nominated by Kensal Green ward as PPCs for Brent Central and Dawn Butler tweeted that she had one Harlesden with a big majority. Zaffar van Kalwala lost the male Harlesden nomination by one vote to Bobby Thomas who is currently Mayor of Brent.

Apparently Cllr Janice Long decided to do a recount of Harlesden ward and has declared Van Kawala the winner now. Nobody has yet been informed as to the reason why the recount was held and I hear through the grapevine that the Kensal meeting had members throwing around false accusations about Bobby Thomas and Dawn Butler too so who knows maybe there'll be a reconvened vote there.
Dollis Hill nominated Liquat Ali and Dawn Butler this evening. Ali beat Van Kalwala by 1 vote. So all the seeds planted for another mysterious recount by tomorrow morning.
