Greens describe their vision for education at official NUT fringe meeting

Natalie Bennett spoke at a NUT Conference official fringe meeting yesterday about the Green Party's vision for education. Kevin Courtney, Deputy General Secretary of the NUT, said that the union saw the Green Party as an ally. He said that although the NUT was not affiliated to any political party, and not likely to be, this did not mean that they could not see who their allies were. He said, 'We meet regularly with Caroline (Lucas) in Parliament and she puts questions down for us in the House of Commons.' The Greens were a force for helping to put the union's message across. Earlier in the Conference, Caroline Lucas received a warm reception at a 200 plus strong meeting on 'Building the Fightback'. Play the video to see what Natalie Bennett had to say. It is good to see the NUT and the Green Party working together for the future of our children.

  1. I read in the wembley observer That a high percentage of deaths in Brent is linked to the pollution in the air.
That does not surprise me because It is shamelessly clear to see the Public are exploited on a daily basis with regards to smoking.
and despite knowing that smoking is dangerous and causes cancer related deaths every year
Cigarettes are allowed to be sold day after day.
and here is The strange thing...if a person fails to pay the council tax for example they face being taken to court and could end up being convicted if they continue refusing to pay the Tax.
so we Live in a country that clearly has double standards.
it is acceptable to wake up every morning and sell box after box of cigarettes to the public even though they do nothing but damage the Health of all those practicing that unnatural habit.
so it is clearly not beneficial in anyway to the public.
but because it brings in huge amounts in Tax revenue for the Government and Makes many a company rich and powerful, it is permitted to continue.
but smoking is the biggest cause of preventable death causing diseases every year!!!!
it is said that up to 100,000 people die every year as a direct result of the damage caused to their health from smoking
and yet the government still allow the sale and public consumption of cigarettes to continue.
that clearly reflects serious injustice and makes it shamefully clear that the government are more interested in Tax revenue than anything else.
and yet if those 100,000 victims of this extremely greed driven corrupt system dared to refuse to pay the council Tax they would find themselves facing a Judge and also face a possible prison sentence.
but if they decided to Join the many that have chosen to use Tobacco as a means of making a Living
even when it causes people to die before their Time, The government Decide That that is OK!!!!
again that speaks absolute volumes about the Lack of Justice in Britain in the 21st century.
also the idea that Caroline Lucas is Used as a spokesperson for the NUT To a Bunch of democratically elected People Who show absolutely no interest in Establishing True Justice in Britain
When they ignore the fact that smoking causes 100,000 people to die every year
and they cut funding at a time when It is said that Deaths in Brent are Linked to Air Pollution
is clearly a major waste of precious Time.
