  1. Presumably Cllr John Wrong'un will be praying for a Tory defeat so that he can install himself as 'Reich-Chancellor' of the Brondesbury Park massive.

    3. Loads of people have joined Brent Greens recently so could be an interesting candidate selection if we decide to stand. Not much time to select as deadline is Friday February 6th.

    4. Stop fibbing, Martin. Even your supporters, like "Pukkah Punjabi", aren't silly enough to actually join.

How many members do you honestly have?

    5. Pukkah's not her real name you know......

    6. Is it Ann John?

    7. Our local membership has more than doubled in the last couple of months and the head office has been struggling to keep up with the processing. Nationally we have overtaken UKIP and LIb Dems. Also getting supporters and volunteers. Hard to give an accurate figure at present.

But really the issue, as with any party, is whether these new members will be active and get out their campaigning. It will be great if they do.

    8. Do you worry that you will be usurped as the King of the Greens in Brent? I note you've seen off Alex Colas.

  3. Cllr John Warren is member of the Conservative Party Kenton Ward Conservatives were voted in as an official opposition Group by Labour. SHAME.

    1. Why is that shameful? Cllr Kansagra led the Tories into the election and was therefore the only appropriate person to lead them on the council.

The Brondesbury troika put their egos before their residents.

  4. Rumour is Brondesbury will put up challenge to Kenton Tory so they can be the main group.

    1. If they do that, they should be expelled.

    2. They already have been expelled from the national party

  5. So if the Brondesbury Tories win will they rename themselves? It's all a bit People's Front of Judea, makes the left look positively united!

  7. Could this be the return of ex-Cllr James Powney? His extreme level of neo-liberalism dismantling of libraries means he could be just the person to appeal to a Conservative leaning ward.

    1. The Tories aren't so vulgar as to 'expel' people, are they? I thought they just withdrew the whip which, given the historical proclivities of so many of them, is a greater punishment by far. (Though there's possibly a bit of a paradox there ....)

'They are never coming back to the party' warns top Tory after failed political coup leaves Conservatives split in two at Brent Council

    1. As long as they have support of their local Association they are Tories. So far their local Association has not expelled them. Brent Conservatives Group on the council has its own constitution. When Cllr Carol Shaw defected to Tories from Lib Dems she joined became member of her local Conservative Association not Conservative Group on Brent Council.

This is the reason "They are never coming back to the Conservative Group on Brent Council"

    3. Martin if Brondesbury Conservatives put a candidate against an official Tory candidate in Kenton ward by-election they will be definitely expelled from the Conservatives Party. Rumours are rumours and should not be taken seriously.
