Presumably Cllr John Wrong'un will be praying for a Tory defeat so that he can install himself as 'Reich-Chancellor' of the Brondesbury Park massive.
ReplyDeleteWill you be running Martin? Test out this 'Green Wave' theory of yours..
ReplyDeleteYeah. Do you back yourself, Martin?
DeleteIf he does the Labour won't win
DeleteLoads of people have joined Brent Greens recently so could be an interesting candidate selection if we decide to stand. Not much time to select as deadline is Friday February 6th.
DeleteStop fibbing, Martin. Even your supporters, like "Pukkah Punjabi", aren't silly enough to actually join.
DeleteHow many members do you honestly have?
Pukkah's not her real name you know......
DeleteIs it Ann John?
DeleteOur local membership has more than doubled in the last couple of months and the head office has been struggling to keep up with the processing. Nationally we have overtaken UKIP and LIb Dems. Also getting supporters and volunteers. Hard to give an accurate figure at present.
DeleteBut really the issue, as with any party, is whether these new members will be active and get out their campaigning. It will be great if they do.
Do you worry that you will be usurped as the King of the Greens in Brent? I note you've seen off Alex Colas.
DeleteCllr John Warren is member of the Conservative Party Kenton Ward Conservatives were voted in as an official opposition Group by Labour. SHAME.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that shameful? Cllr Kansagra led the Tories into the election and was therefore the only appropriate person to lead them on the council.
DeleteThe Brondesbury troika put their egos before their residents.
Rumour is Brondesbury will put up challenge to Kenton Tory so they can be the main group.
ReplyDeleteIf they do that, they should be expelled.
DeleteThey already have been expelled from the national party
DeleteLies.
DeleteSo if the Brondesbury Tories win will they rename themselves? It's all a bit People's Front of Judea, makes the left look positively united!
ReplyDeleteA Nation Holds Its Breath...............
ReplyDeleteCould this be the return of ex-Cllr James Powney? His extreme level of neo-liberalism dismantling of libraries means he could be just the person to appeal to a Conservative leaning ward.
ReplyDeleteAnn John to make a dramatic return and rescue Brent from Butt?

ReplyDeleteThey already have been expelled from the national party.
** Source**??
The Tories aren't so vulgar as to 'expel' people, are they? I thought they just withdrew the whip which, given the historical proclivities of so many of them, is a greater punishment by far. (Though there's possibly a bit of a paradox there ....)

The source was The Brent and Kilburn Times and one of the Kenton lot
DeleteLeaks are being outsourced, so out your source!
DeleteLink and/or date reference for the Brent and Kilburn Times article please?
DeleteOne of the Kilburn lot, the intellectual Cllr Reg u mean?
ReplyDeleteSnob. Bet you're a Labour councillor. "Party of the working-class" my arse
DeleteNever claimed to be 'Party of the Idiot Class'.

ReplyDelete'They are never coming back to the party' warns top Tory after failed political coup leaves Conservatives split in two at Brent Council

As long as they have support of their local Association they are Tories. So far their local Association has not expelled them. Brent Conservatives Group on the council has its own constitution. When Cllr Carol Shaw defected to Tories from Lib Dems she joined became member of her local Conservative Association not Conservative Group on Brent Council.
DeleteThis is the reason "They are never coming back to the Conservative Group on Brent Council"

Michael Maurice has been selected as the Conservative Party candidate for Kenton Ward by-election.
ReplyDeleteNot Michael Maurice the hairdresser?!
DeleteYes Not the hairdresser.
DeleteMartin if Brondesbury Conservatives put a candidate against an official Tory candidate in Kenton ward by-election they will be definitely expelled from the Conservatives Party. Rumours are rumours and should not be taken seriously.
DeleteNot the hairdresser but Michael Maurice repairs: http://www.michaelmauricerepairs.co.uk/
