Brent's Muhammed Butt to be London Councils Equalities Lead despite racial discrimination finding

Despite the Employment Tribunal finding that Brent Council racially discriminated against an employee, victimised her and construcitvely dismissed her, Cllr Muhammed Butt, leader of Brent Council was appointed Equalities Lead by London Councils at their AGM yesterday.

No action has been taken against the CMT members named in the Employment Tribunal case.

  1. Butt was neck and neck with Katie Hopkins until the Havering UKIP vote swung behind him, apparently.
William Hill have closed the book on whether this item will make Private Eye's next edition but Paddy Power is still taking bets on whether it'll appear in Rotten Boroughs or Funny Old World.

  3. An absolute disgrace! When is the inequalities and shenanigans that Butt covers going to make the national press?

  4. It's a shame that London Councils are so ill-informed and that Mo Butt has the gall to stand.

  9. I'm assuming someone has notified Private Eye. Butt will be really annoyed if his cuttings don't keep up with Lutfur's.

  10. The ironic thing about this promotion is that Butt is leaking support from his councillors by the day...

I found it rather interesting that the newest Tory councillor is VERY chummy with a certain ex Exec member.

  12. How much more power is this Man going to be given. He's got his own agenda and only cares about a specific section of the community. Stonebridge adventure playground is one of quite a few community buildings you've robbed us of and it's unforgivable. The playground sits empty and the whole community of children and parents that used it now have no where to go to meet and integrate.
Hopefully soon the day will come that your powers are taken and given to an honest citizen for the people.
