This is why we don't want Chelsea to follow Spurs to Wembley Stadium

  1. Doesn't it happen everywhere though? A Liverpool fan was seriously injured (lying unconscious) at Anfield just the other day. I'd like some assurance that policing and street cleansing will be increased significantly if Chelsea was given the go ahead though. Better still, some of the revenue generated given to the community affected!

  2. Well none of that happened with Spurs....All we residents have had are massive traffic jams on match days, lots of boozed up geezers peeing in public (not enough public toilets) piles of rubbish, tins and bottles in king Eddys Park...cars parking in peoples front gardens....a lucrative sideline for locals, but the result is their own cars are parked on the pavements.....

  3. While it remain's unconfirmed it is likely that Chelsea will not be using Wembley until the start of the 2019/2020 season. One of the reasons the Police presence has not been as great during the THFC season is that they were only allocating 3,000 tickets to the opposing team, and not all games were allowed full capacity. When the capacity is increased to 85,000 then the increase in the number of Police required is also increased and the payment of this should be met by the Football Club, along with any additional costs for street cleaning, and ASB that the council require should also be met by the Football club involved, not the Council Tax payers. As a fan of football and a Wembley resident of 30 years I realise my comments will not be very well received, but I enjoy living in Wembley the home of the National Stadium and all that it entails. My only criticism is that Brent as a local authority they do not endorse Zero Tolerance of Anti-Social Behaviour adopted by Islington home of Arsenal and the Royal Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and Richmond and should they do this then the majority of issues would be resolved and all the neighbourhood would benefit.
