Wembley Stadium will be hosting Green Day – The Saviours Tour on Saturday 29 June.
Please read below to see how this might affect you.
Timings
Doors will open from 4.30pm and road closures will be in place from 1.35 pm.
We expect the area around Wembley Stadium to be very busy before and after the event so please avoid the area if you can unless you have a ticket.
Event day parking
Event day parking restrictions will be in place from 8am to midnight on main roads and from 10am to midnight on residential roads on Saturday 29 June.
If you have a paper permit, please make sure you clearly display it in your vehicle. If you have an electronic permit, you do not need to display this.
Drink-free zone
We want to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
To crack down on anti-social behaviour, we will be enforcing a ban on street drinking in the streets around Wembley Stadium before these matches, as part of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).
If we find anyone drinking on Olympic Way or in the surrounding streets, they will be asked to hand over their alcohol and enforcement action may be considered.

An who is going to enforce the Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs)? probably no one. It's a joke, rubbish everywhere, sorry, Quintain's bit get's a really good clean up, but not the rest of the borough
ReplyDeleteNo one is checking re-useable water bottles or soft drink cans which are being discreetly topped up with Spirits or Wine from their rucksacks which they bought very cheap from outlets outside the area.
ReplyDeleteYou can't take rucksacks onto the stadium, only A4 size bags.
ReplyDeleteYou can't take full bottles into the stadium only empty ones to refill with water inside.

ReplyDeleteNo one is taking anything into the stadium, this is outside prior to the event where PSPO is active, and there is normally a bag drop for rucksacks.
If you think this is happening best tell the Brent Council Enforcement Officers and the local police. It's not something we've witnessed.
ReplyDeleteAs rubbish bins are all sealed so no one can use them and replaced with temporary hanging clear plastic bags, perhaps the people who pick them up should observe the amount of wine and spirit bottles being deposited into them. On another note I would like to see any enforcement ask concert fans please can I inspect your water or can as I believe you are topping it up with alcohol? Reason? Oh your not allowed to drink alcohol in this area unless you are playing grossly inflated prices from one of the bars situated in the area!
ReplyDeleteSo what if they are sneaking alcohol in, why is it you are so keen to protect the income of one of the most expensive venues in the country. Good on them
ReplyDeleteWhat's the obsession with alcohol??? Can't people attend an event without it???
