  1. Did Butt ask residents what they think of this? thought not.

  2. Is this a coded message that Brent Council will now be building on all our car parks?

We already have great public transport in Brent but on Wembley Stadium event days it is horrendous, trains & stations dangerously overcrowded, buses diverted or not running at all! Buses should have priority on their existing routes on event days, they should not be diverted or stopped inconveniencing local residents.

Brent Council Enforcement Officers need to get out fining cyclists & scooter riders for being on our pavements - they need to clear all the shop goods, stalls & signs illegally cluttering our pavements - they also need to stop the Lime bikes from dumped dangerously on pavements - pedestrians need to be able to walk freely & safely.

Cllr Butt wants to keep our air clean so
will Brent Council refuse Wembley Stadium's planning application for more major events which will bring tens of thousands more polluting vehicles to our area? Will Brent Council themselves STOP encouraging people to drive to Wembley Stadium events by renting out Fryent Park, our vital green open space? Will Brent Council STOP giving planning permission for more & more developments in our already built up & overcrowded area which cause the most pollution with all the contaminants released during demolition works & all the pollution from all the trucks & lorries bringing cement and other building materials to the development sites. Will Brent Council do something to STOP the local traffic jams, such as in Ealing Road, Park Lane & near Sudbury roundabout, which occur everyday not just on event days?

Cllr Mo Butt wants to address regeneration - haven't we already had enough of this in Brent, particularly student accomodation which does nothing to address our local housing needs yet the students use all our depleted local services but neither the students nor the building owners pay any council tax!

  3. Having had well over 10 years of a Labour Council who last week was banging on about having no money and cutting services even further why on earth would we think a labour government is going to do any better, Butt needs to stop spouting this rubbish about what him and his mate Sadiq Khan chat about. Lets see some action. Lets see Brent's temporary Housing List dramatically reduced, let's see more Social Housing built, let's see results!

  6. "...the country proudly and decisevely voted for change..."

hmm no wonder Brent Council finances are already £10 million overspent under Councillor Butt just 3 months into the financial year when the Labour Leader of Brent Council fails to recognise that getting just 34% of the vote (on just a 60% of the population voting) is no where near decisive.

While the country was keen to kick out the incompetent Tories most voters did not vote Labour and the Labour Party does NOT have a popular mandate.

The sooner the corrupt British electoral system is ditched the better.

  7. The county didn’t proudly vote for change. 50%+ didn’t vote. Including in brent. Labour won by default, there was no joy or hope.
