Government sets Brent mandatory house building annual target of 3,080

The mandatory targets for housing building across local authorities were announced yesterday. The annual targets for Brent and neighbouring boroughs are:

Barnet 4,057

Brent 3,080

Camden 3,137 

Hammersmith & Fulham 2,783

Harrow 2,294

Westminster 4,341

Why are the targets in Hammersmith & Fulham and Harrow so much lower???

We've already had so much development here in Brent!

I agree that we have had more than enough developments in Brent and it does not seem to matter how many housing units are built because it still does not address the local demand for affordable and secure homes.

Note how tower flats are now called houses in policy. Houses these with front, back garden and car parking space gone missing. All except Westminster likely to be higher (and higher too) than stated.

It's the Global Britain pledge of Brexit. Population is wealth. Yet 1/3rd of councils wanted no part of this, hence no Local Plans.
