Affected or fearful of flooding in Kilburn? Meeting Tuesday 7th October 6pm at Salvation Army, Chichester Road

I’m James, I’m an engagement officer with the National Flood Forum, an independent charity which supports communities who have been affected by flooding.
On Tuesday 7th October,  I’ll be holding the first of a number of community meetings aimed at providing support to people who have been affected by flooding in South Kilburn and helping local people to shape how they are protected against flooding in the future.
  • Tuesday 7th October
  • 6pm – 7:30pm
  • Salvation Army, Kilburn, 55 Chichester Rd, London NW6 5QW
If you or someone you know has been affected by flooding, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and all are welcome on the day.
07599 252 487
I’m also very new to the area, so any help in spreading the word to ensure that we reach as many affected people as possible, would be hugely appreciated.
Please do feel free also to get in touch if you have any questions or there is anything I can help with.

London Flooding Review stage 3 report of May 2022- is they key reference on the River Westbourne (an antique combined river- sewer that is always at capacity) and its actually flooding Chippenham Gardens Local Centre and Kilburn Park Road, both in South Kilburn twice in July 2021.
It places entire 45ha South Kilburn Tall Building zone (2019) spatially inside its Maida Vale Flood Area 'low spot' of high concern in its maps and also uses South Kilburn for its dramatic sewage-river flood report images.

Since 2001 re-development ongoing has removed many natural South Kilburn flood defences and the new builds designs unlike old social estate blocks (some raised with no ground floor homes) totally ignore actual historic flood risk and climate change impacts growing. Tenants service charges will pay for whatever happens re future new no flood protection South Kilburn' Tall Building zones massive costs.

Kilburn also has burst water mains issues, these happen across London literally anywhere and everywhere. The London Flooding Review is about actual topography and environmental climate change risk to South Kilburn.
