Byron Court Primary possible academisation update

The article published last night has been taken down pending clarification.  Meanwhile the leaflet below will be of interest and demonstrates why academisation is an issue for school workers and the community.

Look at the Kilburn Park Foundation School, February 2022 to become in ambiguity, either market housing or a central park extension (not planning required) 'site allocation,' as well as being of course remaining the oversubscribed estate school use that it still is!

Will good old Brent Very Blue Labour Councillors come out against the academisation or will they pretend yet again to be sitting on the wall as they did with Copeland and the Village? They were no doubt supporting those two academisations on the quiet? As for Byron Court, if it does become an academy, will the Council get the money back for the extension and refurb? How much has it cost Brent residents, wasn't it about £13,000,000 - laughably, we didn't even need the extra places, which should have been known, as the Mayor's data showed a projected decline in primary numbers even as these disastrous decisions were being made by Brent's dysfunctional Cabinet and Planning Committee, both personally selected by our favourite Leader Mo Butt ably supported by his cronies?

Will Brent be stuck with that debt for years to come while a business walks away with all the brand new assets specially designed to make money at the expense of the local residents and pupils requiring extra services. Of course the senior staff will line their pockets and pensions. Copeland comparison anyone? The Village comparison anyone?

Think LAND, Think OPPORTUNITY, is Byron LAND inside the Growth Area 'everything goes' red-line zone?
