So,
The Green Party has decided to step back in accordance with their principles and is urging Labour candidates to follow suit. I can't predict what will happen in the end, but I believe Labour will continue on their path. This choice may provide them with a sense of stability as conditions grow more unpredictable for Labour councils and the Government. Whether they face disappointing losses is up to the voters.

Wouldn't it be nice if Labour got thrashed

YES the Green Party made a principled stand and we appreciate their decision. We did not expect Labour to follow suite.
Charlie Clinton, the Liberal Democrat Candidate, lives in Alperton and has been working and tackling local issues with Anton Georgiou for many years. The Labour candidate lives miles away and her posturing photos with piles of rubbish - when it is her Labour Party which CUT street cleaning and neglected Alperton for years - is of great amusement to local residents. Local people know that the contest in Alperton is between the Liberal Democrats, who work for the area all year round, and Labour whose candidate only turns up at election time.

One thing is for certain - local people are very angry with Barry Gardiner, the Labour MP who wrote a letter to electors last year when pleading for their votes promising to "support pensioners" only to VOTE to CUT their winter fuel allowance just a few months later. It is this kind of lie that has persuaded many former Labour supporters to punish Labour this time.

Barry Gardiner serves as my local MP, and while I haven't personally felt the impact of the winter fuel allowance cuts, I must express my disapproval of Labour's decision on this matter. This winter has been particularly tough, and I've been struggling with painful chilblains on my fingers as a result. I can only imagine the distress many pensioners are experiencing as they eagerly await the arrival of spring, hoping for the warmth it brings—something that seems to be overlooked by the Labour government, which appears to be drifting away from the needs of those who supported them. It's truly disheartening.

I urge everyone to vote Lib Dem in this instance to continue to make a difference to the residents, in fact vote for anyone but Liebour as they cannot be trusted at Government Level let alone Local level. Remember a promise is a comfort to a fool, Actions speaks louder.

Interesting that the Lib Dem and Conservative candidate both publish their addresses in Alperton - does this mean that the Labour and Reform candidates don't live locally?

Better to vote for candidates who live in Alperton as they understand our local issues better and are invested in making a difference to the area where they live.

The other two do NOT live in Alperton. The Reform person was a Tory Member until 4 weeks ago and only ditched the Tories so he could stand. The Labour Candidate lives miles away on the border with Harrow (a ward which is in the Harrow Constituency). Both have done nothing for Alperton before and just turned up because of the election.

Lib Dems have worked so hard in Alperton that they deserve to be re-elected - please do vote for them 🙏

It is interesting that the Labour candidate is hiding her background from the electorate. Why is she hiding it? What is she ashamed of?

If you live in Alperton and agree with this comment make sure that you vote to make it happen!

Labour Candidate looks like she's fresh out of High School, so can't have much background to show, she probably still lives at home with Mum and Dad and still has everything done for her.
