National Flood Forum are trying to get a flood action group together for South Kilburn to be part of its Central London Flood Forum. Though decision maker denied, South Kilburn tall building zone very much floods, being located in the Maida Vale/ Carlton Vale 'low spot.' Vale should be a clue for decision makers. As should 5 underground rivers South Kilburn present, including the River Westbourne.

Brent can surely do better than build underground car parks, dual use as flood water storage tanks to flood protect the Maida Vale Conservation Area from the River Westbourne each time it surfaces and sewage floods.

Escalating flood risk in South Kilburn to protect City of Westminster residents, is Brent failing Brent council tax payers. Inequalities and climate denial being actioned during the Brent Climate Emergency. The Greens need to be more curious.

Only conservation areas flood.

Talk of regional inequalities, but never of borough inequalities.

Climate resilience building investments/battle plan and climate denial both being showcased on either side of the Westminster Maida Vale/ South Kilburn Brent borough boundary line. Bizarre and barbaric.

Flood protection, for the few not the many. The Reform policy applied to date.

An interesting idea to make the next GE about re-joining the EU. No re-referendum required, just straight back in, if of course that is what voters vote for.

Didn't Towerblock Tatler bring in the previous unless plan. Maybe that's why they postponed while they whitewash Towerblock's rubbish.

Barry Gardiner MP is so concerned about the Grouse Moors of England, see here: https://share.google/2ul1hW8i7NJixgbbb but did nothing to fight against the last planning aplication for the site of the two houses in Barham Park which is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest saying the restricted covenant would protect the site - and then he did nothing to stop the restrictive covenant being removed allowing the development to go ahead with huge disruption of wildlife habitat and in an area of Barham Park which regularly floods.

What has Barry Gardiner MP done to address flooding concerns in Brent?

Start by fully mapping the actual extent of Brent historic flood data. That approach works for City of Westminster and RBKC re access to funding pots. There is flooding beyond the Glens, the Shires and the conservation areas of Britain. Politicians need to start representing.

Most of the South Kilburn Tall Building Zone has had flooding- the risk is being escalated by climate denial zoned, rather than mitigated by good growth neighbourhood planning. A SUDS-FREE zone.
