I am not prepared to continue to participate or play any further part in any voluntary activity or community organisation in Brent including, but not restricted to, the Wealdstone Brook and associated flood relief and river restoration projects, until the Conservative Party nationally, and the Brent West Conservative Party locally, issue an unreserved apology for the totally unfounded allegations of 'alleged criminal activity' against Cllr. Sunita Hirani and her suspension and subsequent disqualification as a Conservative Candidate for the Kenton Ward in the forthcoming May 7th Local Brent Council Elections.

Good man john, that people is what a man of principle looks like, i know how much those activity and projects mean to john and the loss that will be felt in the community as well, he's willing to give up those to defend a friend and in the political sense opponent, just because its the right thing to do, i wholeheartedly support john and sunita in this, too many people are willing to jump on the bandwagon and decry a person, usually with no substance in the allegations.
Once again well done john, I'm sure you will be well supported in this, i totally support this action.

If this guy is a Labour candidate why would Brent Conservatives care if boycotts Brent organisations? Very confusing. Also is he boycotting the elections too? Which would mean he’s no longer a candidate. Makes so sense

Please could someone elaborate on this. Why did her party turn against her. What was it that turned them against her to the extent that they are actively sabbotaging her campaign? Was it her environmental stance? Israel/Palestine? Acknowledging her now former-party's mistakes?

Brent Conservatives Confirm Sunita Hirani's Resignation after Suspension and Police Referral

Sunita Hirani was suspended from the Conservative Party pending an internal investigation into alleged criminal activity. During this process, Ms Hirani chose to resign her membership before the full evidence and allegations could be formally presented to her.
The matters that led to her suspension have now been referred to the Metropolitan Police.
Brent Conservatives expect the highest standards and take these issues extremely seriously. We fully support the Conservative Party’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and conduct. We will not be commenting further while the appropriate authorities continue their investigations.

Surely Councillor Hirani's "alleged criminal activity" has been referred to Brent Council too as Councillors are bound by Code of Conduct which may have been breached.
Just because he has a record of Political Party Memberships does not mean he has NO principles. He just has too many - all conflicting with each other!
