Wembley road closures and diversions for Harry Styles Concerts Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (June 17, 19, 20)

From Brent Council (Note they really did use match terminology!)

Wembley Stadium will be hosting the following concerts for Harry Styles Together, Together tour in June 2026 on following dates: Wednesday 17 June, Friday 19 June and  Saturday 20 June.

Please read below to see how this might affect you.

Timings

Harry Styles Together, Together tour concert doors will open 5.00pm and road closures will be in place at 1.00pm for all above events.

We expect the area around Wembley Stadium to be very busy before and after this event so please avoid the area if you can, unless you have a ticket for the event.

Event day parking

Event day parking restrictions will be in place from 8am to midnight on main roads and from 10am to midnight on residential roads on Wednesday 17 June, Friday 19 June and  Saturday 20 June.

If you have a paper permit, please make sure you clearly display it in your vehicle. If you have an electronic permit, you do not need to display this.

Drink-free zone

We want to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

To crack down on anti-social behaviour, we will be enforcing a ban on street drinking in the streets around Wembley Stadium before this event, as part of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).

If we find anyone drinking on Olympic Way or in the surrounding streets, they will be asked to hand over their alcohol and enforcement action may be considered.

Road closures

As usual, the following roads will be closed to traffic starting four hours before kick-off and for the duration of the event to help keep pedestrians safe:

  • South Way (Pink Car Park to Wembley Hill Road)
  • Fulton Road (Empire Way to Rutherford Way)
  • Engineers Way (Empire Way to Rutherford Way)

Approximately 45 minutes before the final whistle, Empire Way will also close southbound at the Esso Petrol Station on Wembley Park Drive. This will be followed by closures of Wembley Hill Road from the Triangle (Harrow Road) and the Tesco roundabout on Empire Way. These measures are there to create a safe route for spectators returning to Wembley Central Station.

Wembley just wild about Harry! Road closures & bus diversions for 12 Harry Styles concerts - 8 on weekdays

There will be 12 Harry Styles concert dates at Wembley Stadium  over the rest of this month starting on Friday June 12th and through to July 4th,

Eight of these dates are on weekdays with road closures starting at 1pm with associated bus diversions. This will impact school children travelling home from school, particularly those using the 206 bus route which will be not run south between Wembley Park and Brent Park. This also affects workers travelling to Brent Park and the industrial estates south of the stadium, including the Amazon warehouse and the Tesco and Ikea stores.

Brent Council approved the increased number of concerts at Wembley Stadium in January 2025 with 8 more major concerts a year. A major event is defined as an attendance of more that 60,000. Decision notice:

The number of major events held at the stadium in any one calendar year shall be restricted to no more than 54 (to exclude European Cup and World Cup events where England/UK is the host nation). This shall be described as the cap. Within the event cap, the number of major events involving UK based domestic association football teams shall be restricted to no more than 25. LINK

A Wembley Hill resident contacted Wembley Matters:

Does this mean that on all these days road closures and bus diversions will be active from 1pm?  Doors open 5pm. Not only that I have appointment at my doctors at Wembley Park Humphry Repton Lane which is also closed on event days, my appointment is for 4.00 p.m.on Friday.

Does this mean all locals using bus services 206,92,182 and 83 are again inconvenienced with either no service or diversions.

Wembley Park residents deprived of 206 bus for 5 afternoons and evenings while Love is on Tour. Vulnerable residents left stranded.

A resident of the King's Drive/Pilgrims Way estate has written to Barnhill councillor, Kathleen Fraser, about the impact of the curtailment of the 206 bus at Brent Park on event days. Thirty minutes ago I had to inform people waiting in the heat at The Paddocks stop that there were no buses due to a concert at the Stadium.

As the writer points out we were promised that an advantage of North End Road being rejoined to Bridge Road was that the 206 could avoid the main stadum area by using North End Road on event days.

 Dear Councillor Fraser

I am writing to you with regard to the 206 bus route which, for many living in Kings Drive, The Paddocks, Salmon Street areas, is a real boon.  That is until there is an event scheduled at Wembley Stadium when no service is provided after 11.00/noon.

I believe I am correct in saying that in Brent's local plan for our area it was stated that the opening of North End Road to allow traffic to and from Bridge Road would mean that the 206 would be able to serve our area on event days.

The changes to the road layout have been completed and yet we are still deprived of our bus service.

Could I ask you to please enquire as to why this is the case and when we may expect a service to run regardless of events at the stadium.

May I point out that the suspension of this service disproportionately affects our most vulnerable residents - the elderly, disabled, parents with small children and women travelling home alone at night.

This week commencing Sunday 11 June we will be without a bus on no fewer than 5 afternoons and evenings.

The bus company seems to suspend the service at the earliest time possible, even when traffic is light.

I would be most grateful for your help in this matter. Residents have been putting up with this for far too long.

Thank you in advance.
