Ay, Krupesh Hirani, ain't no need for flash and glam,
Invisible but ever present, like a true Brent Labour fam.
Labour values run deep in your veins, mate,
Back on the London Assembly, sealing our fate.

From Harrow to Brent, you've got our back,
Fighting for the working people and liberal progressive intelligensia, we’re a broad church, so no need for any flack.
Through the hustle and bustle of city strife,
You're there, always, in this London life.

So here's to you, Krupesh, a champion in our sight,
Labour's finest, shining bright in the night.
Congratulations on your win, keep the fight alive,
For North West Londoners, you're the reason we thrive!

To Zoe Garbutt, with hair so bright,
In London's race, you showed your might.
Green with purple, a vibrant flair,
Fourth place, but you still care.

With they, them, theirs, you pave the way,
Inclusion and diversity, every day.
Congratulations on your fearless stride,
In London's tapestry, you're a vital guide.

Though you didn't clinch it, no need to fret,
Cllr Mothin Ali's in, that's the bet.
In Bradford, he's gonna say with a grin,
"Free Palestine, Israel, just get in the bin."

Susan Hill, Susan Hill, lost London's pride,
But what does it say about Brent and Harrow's side?
That she beat Khan almost ten thousand wide,
Was it ULEZ, Labour's bad stride?
Or do people actually love a bit of Rishi Sunak's guide,
In which case, they've been had, on this electoral ride.

Interesting that under the new tory reform to PR vote - first past the post now - out of 25 Labour has 11 - so a minority. Tories have 8. So a success for the reform way of voting and representation for the tories. I really doubt Sir Keir understands what has happened here in London and how and when to undo it if Labour win power...

Khan didn't win in Brent or Harrow;
So Mrs Gardiner, the poet; Your hubby might be worried?
Just in case you didn't know it 😉

Re John Poole (5 May, 21:44):

The Tory reform did not change the election for membership of the GLA, only the election for Mayor (where previously you had a supplemental vote).

After the 2021 GLA elections, Labour had 11 AMs, Tories had 9 AMs. The only change resulting from the 2024 GLA election is that the Tories have lost one of their AMs and Reform has gained an AM.
