Transport for London has released details of bus route changes in the Wembley Central area due to the reconstruction of part of the Wembley High Road.
Most High Road buses will be diverted along Park Lane and Wembley Hill Road which are already congested at peak times.
The 18 and N18 and emergency vehicles will still be able to use a lane on the closed section.
During the closure period there are 8 major Wembley Stadium events LINK and 40 Wembley Arena events LINK.

They forgot about the 92 where is that on diversion? around Wembley.
It appears that the 83 is not going to follow its normal route down Ealing Road
Just hope the railway bridge in Park Lane can cope with all the extra heavy goods vehicles - there are large cracks in the walls.
Nothing on TFL website about the closure of Wembley High Road...

So are routes 83 and 483 being diverted away from Ealing Road???
No, they are just using Park Lane instead of Wembley Hill
But in the diagram above the route passes Ealing Road?
This is going to cause so much stress and traffic for everyone
7 18.41 I see what you mean. I will try and find out for you. I first asked on Dec 31, reminded on Jan 2 etc. I have asked for written elaboration of arrangements via the TfL Press Office but no response. Poor show. I will try Twitter.
I honestly don't understand comments like this, they're quite unhelpful. Infrastructure requires maintenance - there are complaints when the council/utility companies don't maintain their assets and complaints when they do too. If the diversions are adequate why should it change much? Better these improvements are made than bigger problems down the line which would likely take longer to resolve.
You obviously never travel on public transport in the Wembley area.
You say "Better these improvements are made than bigger problems down the line which would likely take longer to resolve." - if Brent Council hadn't given planning permission for so many huge tower block developments in this area the sewer system would be able to cope and the roads wouldn't be collapsing from all the damage by construction lorries.
Also Brent Council warning signs are not adequate - the static signs are too small to read when passing in traffic and the larger digital signs just say 'Wembley High Road closed on 13th January' as if it's just for one day. There's going to be chaos!
Why is this closed so long? Why not night works
It's a complere reconstruction of that section of road - not just normal roadworks.
Dear Anonymous7 January 2025 at 21:18 who “honestly don't understand”. Can you name other high streets closed for 5 months? Can you honestly say is typical or reasonable?
From Brent Council:
What will the upgrades involve?
Digging the full depth of the road’s structure.
Building a new road structure and resurfacing of the road.
The repair of existing drains and installation of new carriageway gullies, so that water is redirected safely.
Why are these upgrades required?
Our roads are under increasing pressure from an ever-growing number of vehicles and the increase in weight of vehicles over the years. The road structure was found to be failing and in a state of disrepair, where short-term fixes were no longer appropriate.
These upgrades have been planned as part of a long-term investment to protect this key route for years to
It most certainly will. They haven't even considered the Equality Act 2010 and access to services for people with disabilities who cannot wait for a bus or train which will be delayed and busy.
Will the Triangle finally disappear and a T junction put in its place? It's been on the cards for years and fully supported by Butt.
