Wembley Crime Preventer Jeremy Zeid steps down after advocating Obama kidnap

Jeremy Zeid with Nigel Farage
Jeremy Zeid, UKIP candidate for Hendon has stood down following publicity over his Facebook statement that Israel should kidnap President Obama and put him on trial. LINK

He said:

“Once Obama is out of office the Israelis should move to extradite the bastard or ‘do an Eichmann’ on him and lock him up for leaking state secrets.

“Just kidnap the bugger, like they did to Eichmann,” he added in a comment, referring to the Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann, who was captured in Argentina in 1960 and put on trial in Israel.

This advocate of kidnapping is a member of Wembley Crime Prevention LINK

NB This is not an April 1st joke.

This is a disgrace. Jeremy Zeid should be charged with inciting hatred, under UK hate speech laws, fined heavily, imprisoned, or both.

Judging by who Brent Council has appointed to its equalities position Zeid potentially has a good chance at the CEO post.

April Fools all of you who believe this rubbish. Jeremy Zeid stood down over a month ago from running as UKIP candidate. His Facebook page was hacked by anti-semitic organisation. Jeremy Zeid has worked tirelessly for equality and justice for ethnic minorities whilst he was a councillor for Harrow and has 30 years working for charities and fund raising for Brent and Harrow.residents.

Wembley Crime Prevention is a charity organisation and has no affiliation to any political party the fact that Jeremy is a member of this organisation has nothing to do with this article, which is libellous and should be removed immediately.

I agree with the comments made that this blog should have absolutely no reflection on Wembley Crime Prevention who's staff have knowingly worked very hard within the community for some 30 years.
It is wrong to even consider bringing up or mentioning their organisation in the equation of a blog that clearly has some form of political angle attached to it on here.
I would be rather concerned of the implications such remarks would have legally should Wembley Crime Prevention consider it or prove it to be detrimental to their good name and standing in our community.
People should really think more carefully before writing things unless they fully know the facts and that is it not uncommon for media groups like main stream papers to do anything for a story these days!

Zeid is somewhat challenged, if we're being polite. Isn't it rather ironic that Butt is also a WCP trusteee!

He'd have done WCP better to have stood down as soon as he decided to stand as a candidate, frankly.

Supporting kidnapping has nothing to do with crime?

Kidnapping story was carried by Guardian, BBC, Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Huffington Post amonst others. You are likely to get more out of them if you wish to sue. It is a fact that Jeremy Zeid is a member of Wembley Crime Prevention. If they wish to disassociate themselves from him and his view they should ask him to resign. WCP have defended him in the past on this blog: http://wembleymatters.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/time-for-second-say-on-wewlsh-school-pla.html?showComment=1423234357941#c1284545390907062381

Where did you get that idea from?Butt is merely a member NOT a trustee as are local Councillors.
Get your facts right before writing an INCORRECT remark.

Your the person whom placed the blog on here in first instance was it not the case Mr Francis? So, if anyone should be legally implicated and held liable in posting to this particular blog it should be yourself as you bought Wembley Crime Prevention name into the equation of this. They are NOT aligned to any political party from what I see. Suggest you look more clearly at precise wording within their documented constitution! They may have representation by way of councillors listed but, have you even thought why? Purely to assist with matters relating to their objectives of crime prevention concerns for the community. Nothing else!

Zeid is a member of Wembley Crime Prevention and the organisation defend him. He is bringing the organisation into disrepute. If you are a member of that organisation or speak for them it would be a good idea to give your name. I am not attacking the WCP as such but questioning whether a man alleged to be advocating kidnapping should be a member of a crime prevention organisation. That is fair comment.

Muhammed Butt is listed as an Honorary member, not just an ordinary member, and he features alongside the trustees in the "meet the team" video on their website

You're embarrassing yourself by saying Zeid's Facebook was "hacked by an anti-Semitic organisation.

In Zeid's own words “I stood down because I’m fed up with having to fend off accusations. I have to consider my health. That comment I made about Obama, I stick by it 100%,” Zeid told the newspaper.

Quote from The Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/apr/01/kidnap-obama-ukip-candidate-jeremy-zeid-replaced-after-outburst

"Hacked by an anti-Semitic organisation" I think not. At least get your story straight with Zeid if you're going to invent fiction in order to defend him.

Zeid is quoted in today's Guardian saying: "That comment I made about Obama, I stick by it 100%,”

Whoever is "defending" WCP does them no favours whatsoever. Zeid is clearly not just a fruitbat, but a nasty malicious far Right one. This is hardly the first time he's expressed utterly nauseating and repulsive views.

Remember this? http://metro.co.uk/2014/05/30/ukip-branch-chairman-suggests-parts-of-london-are-being-ethnically-cleansed-of-white-people-4744432/

He is disgusting.

UKIP this and that... Political Political Political that's all I see from Alison Hopkins and her alike here. Considering someone stated here the person you lot keep wanting to serve up on the platter is no longer even involved with any political party now why so choose to keep raising articles relating to previous political connections with the likes of UKIP when there literally yesterday's news. Do you seriously have any of idea of the utter jargon your spurting Hopkins. When he worked as an elected councillor in Harrow heard many ethnic minorities speak highly of Zeid and the commitment he showed towards fighting for racial discrimination to be stamped out, more opportunities for diverse communities in Harrow so, before you pass comments look at the bigger picture of what Zeid has done to support our multi cultural groups in the community.

OMG ladies and gents, FREEDOM of speech. He sticks by his comments 100%, boo hoo. Has he killed anyone?! I think not. Get your opinionated heads out of your own arses.

All the idiots stating in his own words he stated... Quote... Paper words... Where you there at time then of speaking? No, you wasn't simple answer so... don't state things you don't know if he actually said or didn't. As for hacking... think about it... the comment shots were taken from his own personal & private account... how did they mysteriously make there way from a private account into the papers... by magic... no... through someone hacking it? yes... foolish people never heard of the recent high profile celebrity hacking trials by press alike...think about it. Too quick to judge without giving things a second glance!

One may judge a person, sometimes, by the nature of the fruitbats that support his insanity.

"You're embarrassing yourself by saying Zeid's Facebook was "hacked by an anti-Semitic organisation."

I don't think the poster is embarrassing themselves. Most facebook hacks are done to steal information etc, juveniles hack to frape facebook users. What the poster was referring to (imo) is that they think Mr Zied's account was hacked, which resulted in the leaked facebook status he post. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and privacy, it is obvious that entitlement was not honored in Mr Zied's case. Yet again, people are quick to draw their swords. I feel sorry for the poor sod, as all he is going to get now is flack and exacerbated bs from the press and nobodies who run blogs such as this one.

Any reason why two of the Wembley Central councillors are not members of WCP? Perhaps they smell a rat?

Anonymous said...

What exactly should Martin be held "legally liable" for exactly? Reporting the same information as is in all the national press and adding the undisputed fact of Zeid's involvement in Wembley Crime Prevention?

What crime exactly do you think has been committed?

Anonymous said...

^ Sam Stopp apparently went along to one of their meetings, found out who Jeremy Zeid was and then didn't go back. Wilhelmina Mitchell-Murray has never been involved.

It's a shame, because the charity does do some really good work for Wembley, but no-one seems to be able to explain why they stand by this racist bigot.

It's all a bit like Hot Fuzz really....

How strange that more speculation is bought into the equation here and being drawn upon that someone has concluded they know of what the precise activities are of our Councillors and take it upon themselves to provide this blog with their supposedly attendance history at specified meetings has been or even better still individual support shown towards something? How can they possibly know of the commitment levels shown by Councillors or any such person alike towards any meeting, organisation or event? People yet again seem to take delight to conclude things without proven knowledge or facts.

Anonymous said...

I guess if councillors involved are just sitting by and not saying anything.... nothing new there hey, a certain tribunal springs to mind.

I don't know who this Zeid guy is, but as a citizen of Wembley I couldn't care less about the guy being on a crime prevention team. Has he committed a crime via his comments? Hell no. Has he done good for the community via the crime prevention team? Who knows, but the organization themselves. So take note Martin, whoever you are, you are entitled to your opinion just as this Zeid guy was with his. You chose to share yours publically, he didn't, it was leaked. No privacy nowadays. So leave the organization and people who know who he is and if he does anything for the community to it and eat some humble pie, because from the sounds of it. I don't think anyone knows anything, including me, apart from the people who personally know him. Let them get on with it.

Oooo this Alison sounds opinioned. Quick people, run behind your desks, the whip is coming out. Jeez people, calm yourselves down, this Alison probably doesn't like Zeid hence the comments, This crime prevention team probably know him better than anybody. As long as Zeid personal opinions doesn't affect his role, who gives a flying f**k. Zeid for Priminister I say, jk. Although, it wouldn't make a different, JayZ could become an MP for all anyone really cares, it is the norm for people whom speak their minds to get scrutinized by politically embodied air heads. Seeing a lot of it on this stupid blog. I am just here for the comments, moving along.

He committed a crime fellow poster. The crime is freedom of speech, having a joke and an opinion... Bring on the capital punishment... People need to lighten up, or do some rear exercise to dislodge their heads and other peoples noses.

Anonymous said...

How do you know Zeid's nasty opinions don't affect his role in Crime Prevention? For all we know he could be advocating the kidnapping of any Wembley citizen whose views he doesn't like. Given the demographic in Wembley and Ukip's reputation of intolerance his involvement is very worrying.

Anonymous said...

Please don't go, you're very funny.

Wouldn't it just be best it WCP gave Zeid the boot? This is really detracting from the good work that they do and I don't understand why they're sticking by him...

Alison Hopkins said...

I don't get it either, 16:50. And no, I don't like Zeid - I can't imagine liking anyone who thinks as he does, frankly. I did meet him once or twice.

As to some of the other posts supporting him, their (lack of) grammar and use of language - or perhaps mangling is a better term - is oddly familiar.
