| How does Brent Council resemble a pint of Guinness? |
Despite a long and sometimes heated discussion nothing much seems to have emerged from the Labour Group discussion on Monday evening.A compromise was reached on the issue of annual elections to the leadership and cabinet. Muhammed Butt wanted elections every 4 years and others wanted to keep automatic annual elections.
It was agreed that leader and cabinet would be elected every two years and other posts would remain annual with an automatic trigger.
That makes Cllr Butt and his Cabiner safe until 2016

'Safe until 2016'? Unless he and Pavey get so linked in the public mind with Davani, Gilbert, Ledden and the other national-press-embarrassments-waiting-to-happen that his friends in the party tell him he has to go a little sooner.
Can't someone decent like Roxanne Mashari or Neil Nerva take over?
Nerva is decent, but Mashari most certainly isn't. Career politician using it as a stepping stone.
Lol Mashari is worse than Pavey
This is the problem isn't it, they are just a bunch of wannabes who couldn't care less about the residents of Brent all they care about are their own agendas..
Lets all pray that the truth comes out. We know it, but other people need to as well.
