Stonebridge Adventure Playground Must Stay Forever!

Cllr Muhammed Butt received the petition

A group of children, young people and parents handed over a petition of more than 1,000 signatories to Brent Council leader Muhammed Butt at Brent Civic Centre today.Dawn Butler, Labour Party parliamentary candidate for Brent Central also attended.

The signatures had been collected over the last few weeks from door-to-door knocking,  Harlesden Town Centre, Tesco and Love Where You Live in a amazing effort to save the playground that has served the community since the 1970s.

I recognise that Butt!
Come on, Mo, do the decent thing and claw back a bit of credibility and local respect.

The front of the Civic Centre is usually bristling with bouncers. There's not a trace of them in this picture. Were the heavies told to make themselves scarce because it would make The Leader look bad for the photo op? Or did they all run like hell when they saw a bunch of Stonebridge 10 yr olds approaching?

Keep the playground open, Mr Butt. These kids know where you live!

The Question Councillor Butt and all Councillors have to consider.

Does the Borough want to create the potential for a possible increase in Baby P cases by closing vital community facilities ?

This is the question we should be asking ourselves as the closing of public services or services put under so much financial pressure corners are cut just to make up for budget shortfalls.
