Brent NHS CCG is at is again with its sham public involvement exercises.

The CCG has just held a public 'consultation' on its Commissioning Intentions at a Healthwatch Brent meeting on 1st Oct. Only....... the CCG published the date of this meeting on its website as 5th October and then proceeded to present a different document to the assembled mulitiude (of 12 attendees) from the document it intends to unveil at the Health Partners Forum that this blog is advertising.

I've said it before but it bears repeating - the CCG makes the Council look like a bunch of amateurs in the areas of bullying, double-speak and obfuscation.

Whilst the Health Partners Forum meetings are highly stage-managed affairs in which anyone wanting to voice an off-message opinion is made to look like an escaped asylum inmate, the real place where questions can be put would be the CCG's AGM.

It took patient reps to point out to the CCG that the so-called AGM it attempted to hold on 2nd September, lacked the necessary public notice period as well as the requisite quorum of GPs in attendance. Thus the AGM is having to be re-run on 15 Oct as below.

You have to ask why the CCG's involvement strategies are so lack-lustre that their own members (i.e. Brent's GPs) simply can't see the relevance of the CCG or be bothered to attend its AGM........
